Business Law 2 Final
We can do it today.
Business today is truly complicated by issues raised by the 1964 Civil Rights Act Title VII. Opponents of the law argued that it would lead to a slippery slope and other groups would demand similar protections. This warning came true, for example, there are age discrimination, protection for pregnant women, some cities have implemented civil rights laws based on hair style.
In a recent article, “The New Woke Discrimination Demands a New Law” (see attached) a Yale Law professor and an associate argue that we need a new protected class “viewpoint”. They claim that corporate viewpoint discrimination is widespread. I would like your opinion (written in the third person) on “Agree or disagree the Civil Right act should be amended to protect employees for expressing disfavored views”. Your essay must have an introduction stating your opinion, supporting paragraphs with sources supporting your opinion, and a conclusion.
Your Final Assignment will be given with a letter grade and not a “credit” grade.

1. Your essay writing must be typed, 4-5 pages, Times New Roman Font, Size 12, double spaced. Include your Name and course.
2. You must incorporate at least (4) sources, cases or legal journals only and cite your sources in APA citation. Students are encouraged to utilize Brooklyn College Library Online Database to get your sources.
3. Email your writing either in PDF or Word Doc only as an attachment. No other format and no copying and pasting your writing to the email directly.
4. Students must write in a third person academic style, Personal experiences and statements such “I believe” or “in my opinion” are inappropriate. If you don’t understand this instruction, please read the “Declaration of Independence,” Thomas Jefferson makes his point and never uses the word “I”.
