After reading the poem and watching the video of the poem performed, answer the following.
- On the PDF of The Creation Poem by James Weldon Johnson (attached here), label the Day of creation from the scriptures (1-6, or day 7) you feel each of the sections lines up closest with and give a two-sentence explanation of why. There are 12 sections in the downloadable PDF, so make sure to have a Day of creation or multiple days of creation that correspond with each. Use the reading from Genesis to help you identify these days of creation. Video of Poem can be viewed by clicking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2nOk-50kXE&list=RDd2nOk-50kXE&start_radio=1
- In one to two paragraphs, write which creation day described by Johnson was most impactful to you and why (be sure to include the corresponding scripture from Genesis for that particular day of creation).
- In one to two paragraphs, speak to how God has sustained that particular day of creation even until today with all of our scientific/technological advances. (Example: God has continued to sustain His creation of the oceans by giving us oceanographers who study its patterns/trends and improve the lives of ocean creatures. Etc etc.)
