Present a Predictive Modeling Case Project
“Step 2: Choose a Case
Once you have worked your way through Gail’s resources—quickly, as your DAT presentation is scheduled in just a few weeks—Gail has put together a list of compelling case studies showcasing how different organizations have used predictive modeling. These case studies are meant to energize you about predictive analytics and show how analytics can contribute to organizational success. Via email, she sends you a summary file of the cases—Predictive Modeling Mini‐Case Studies [case study reading]—and says, Read through these case summaries and choose one. Then find the full published case—I’ve included the complete references—and dissect and assess it. Break it down into problem, variables, and models. I’ll give you some guidelines to present a predictive modeling case [instructions]. Then you can present your assessment at the next scheduled DAT meeting (i.e., your doctoral Residency). And, of course, you’ll want to continually improve your presentation skills, so I’ll also ask you for a brief self‐evaluation.”
We can do it today.
