OLCU 350: Leadership and Professional Ethics
The BAOL Capstone paper requires you to analyze and apply your learning from required leadership courses. To provide a review of these courses as a foundation for preparing the capstone papers, course review teams will be formed that will prepare a summary of important themes, theories and concepts from the course and facilitate an online discussion.
Team Project Objectives and Deliverables
● Prepare a 2 – 3 page summary of course content summarizing important themes, theories and concepts from the designated course
● Prepare References in APA format that includes the course textbook(s) and 2 or more relevant peer-reviewed journal articles
● Facilitate the online discussion answering all questions about course content, and correcting posted misinformation if any.
Directions
By Monday of your assigned week, one team member will post the team content summary and references to the designated Discussion Board site as an electronic message. In addition, the content summary, references and journal articles may be attached to the discussion thread. Each team is encouraged to be creative in preparing the review; however, the following may be a useful guide:
● Content Summary: What were the major themes and topics of this course? What theories, concepts and/or models were discussed? Be certain to include citations with page numbers, aligned with references
● References: Prepare a Reference page that includes the course textbook(s), and 2 or more relevant peer-reviewed journal articles correctly formatted in APA. Be certain that all sources cited in the content summary are listed on the reference page.
● Online Discussion: Facilitate the discussion prompts by answering any questions and correcting any posted misinformation. The same discussion prompt will be asked for all course reviews; the prompt asks students to (1) expand on the summarized content, and (2) offer an additional academic source in APA format.
