This paper is to reflect on a online assessment process through a software called ShadowHealth. We assessed patients for abdominal pain ,cough, chest pain, and neurological exam. We are to incorporate the four ways of knowing as well as the caritas processes into what we learned during the online holistic assessment.

A reflective component is scheduled for you to share after you have completed ALL Shadow Health assessments. Please answer the following questions in an essay format:

Use the Four ways of knowing below to guide your reflection:

Empiric Way of Knowing: What does the knowledge from these assessments represent and how is it representative? How is this related to the human life process and reflect your own values and beliefs?

Aesthetic Way of Knowing: How did you show respect to your patient during your assessments? Share some artful ways you interacted with your patient?

Ethical Way of Knowing: How did you apply moral judgments with your patient? In what way did you advocate for your patient?

Personal Way of Knowing: How did you feel while interviewing and listening to your patient? What were your thoughts during the assessment? In what ways did this assignment affect your ability to take a comprehensive health history? How can you apply what you’ve experienced in this course to your professional practice?

These are the “A-Ha” moments. Reflective questions must be answered with a minimum of 100 words per Way of Knowing (so at least 400 words) to demonstrate awareness of Carper’s “Ways of Knowing”
