Graduate class #1. Who will benefit from receipt of this evidence?
Practitioners
who work with patients with anxiety will benefit by having the best
available evidence to inform practice, and patients with anxiety
symptoms will also benefit by having the best practice to improve
symptoms of anxiety.
Where will this evidence have the greatest impact?
Theis
evidence will have the greatest impact in a practice setting such as a
community mental health treatment center or even in private practice.
What resources are needed?
The
resources required include print out of the materials for the audience
to read, laptops and a smart board on which to project the material.
Who is the most appropriate audience?
The
most appropriate audience is practitioners such as ANRNs or other
mental health professionals involved in managing the mental and
psychiatric health of the population.
What are the benefits of this evidence to your selected audience?
The
benefits of the evidence to practitioners is to improve practice and
ensure that the best available evidence is applied to practice. It will
also ensure that there is long-term effective and sustainable management
of the symptoms of anxiety in the population thus reducing the costs of
care and ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of care.
What are the potential risks of failing to disseminate this evidence?
Continued
overuse of antipsychotic medication leading to worsening of symptoms,
poor outcomes in the patients and increased costs of care due to
ineffective and inefficient care.
What are the barriers to dissemination of evidence?
Barriers
include lack of time and ability to have the required audience present
for the presentation. This is due to the different schedules of the
staff, and it may be challenging to agree on a common time or place to
have the relevant practitioners ready for the presentation.
Dissemination

The proposed method of dissemination is by a power point
presentation. This has been selected since it will allow the presenter
to interact with the audience, have the audience ask questions and seek
clarification, which will enhance understanding and engagement with the
material. A power point presentation will be useful in bringing about
practice change since the audience will be able to ask questions and
clarify areas that may not be clear and help inform their knowledge and
attitude on the proposed change. According to Ashcraft et al. (2020),
the use of print materials in addition to visual presentation formats
was found to be more common and more effective in evidence
dissemination, thus the use of the power point presentation accompanied
by print materials.

Graduate class #2. Who will benefit from receipt of this evidence?

The
primary goal of the dissemination of the evidence-based practice
results is to promote and increase the spread of information concerning
evidence-based interventions. The intervention to reduce stress among
nurses will lead to greater patient outcomes and greater application
(Fathi & Simamora, 2019). The method that I will prefer to use in
disseminating the results of the evidence-based project is social media
presentation. Social media is significant in reaching a larger audience
and it will have a greater impact on programming and policy. The
individuals that will benefit from the results of the project are nurses
and other healthcare professionals. They will be able to quickly deal
with symptoms of depression before it affects their performance in the
workplace. This will lead to improved service quality for their patients
thus increasing their levels of satisfaction.

Where will this evidence have the greatest impact?

The evidence will have the greatest impact within the nursing
department. Depression is common among nurses and this is due to the
nature of their work. They are exposed to many work-related factors
which increase their risk of developing mental disorders. Depression
affects the performance of nurses in the workplace, including the
organization’s productivity (Chiang & Chang, 2012). Therefore, the
evidence will help the nurses understand how to deal with depression in
the workplace.

What resources are needed?

To achieve
successful dissemination of information using social media, one needs to
create a group of followers. Regular posting of relevant information is
the best way one can build a following. The resources needed to
disseminate the information through social media are PowerPoint
presentations and national journals. These resources will be shared on
social media sites such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

Who is the most appropriate audience?

The most appropriate audience to target with the evidence is nurses.
This is because nurses are at a higher risk of developing mental
problems which affect the quality of services provided to their patients
(Chiang & Chang, 2012). There is an urgent need for interventions
for dealing with depressive symptoms among nurses. The intervention
provided by the project is significant for improving the quality of
services offered by nurses, including the safety of patients. Nurses
spend most of their time after work and during breaks on social media,
thus a high probability that they will come across the evidence on the
internet.

What are the benefits of this evidence to your selected audience?

Nurses
often fear seeking help for their mental disorder for fear of penalty
or judgments instead, they suppress their suffering. Therefore, making
this evidence available to them will educate them on the best way to
reduce depressive symptoms and the associated stigma. The evidence will
provide the nurses with effective support in the workplace, thus
improving the quality of services. It will also improve the safety of
patients as it will reduce medical errors in the workplace.

What are the potential risks of failing to disseminate this evidence?

Failure
to disseminate this information will lead to increased cases of
depression among nurses. The number of medical errors will also increase
because the quality of services offered and the safety of patients will
be affected. The productivity and profitability of the organization
will be affected due to medical errors and customer complaints.

What are the barriers to the dissemination of evidence?

The
barriers to dissemination of evidence include heavy workload, lack of
internet access at the workplace, lack of access to nursing journals,
and lack of basic knowledge concerning information technology. The other
barriers are the lack of ability to understand the language used and
the increasing number of research evidence produced.
