I’ve left the response questions fairly open this time around. Some options are:
Consider the 4 identity statuses identified in your text and described in the lecture (moratorium, identity achievement, identity diffusion, identity foreclosure. Reflecting on your own adolescence, which stage do you think you were in?
Reflect on your own adolescence. What was the connection between attachment to your parents and autonomy during this stage of development?
Among ethnic minority youth, how is parent–adolescent conflict exacerbated by acculturation pressures?
What kinds of measures may be taken by schools to help reduce delinquency among adolescents?
Studies have confirmed that females tend to be more depressed than males during adolescence. What might be the cause of this greater risk for depression in girls?
After answering one of those questions respond to a peer response – simply, nothing big

There are many ways to reduce delinquency in schools. A few effective ways could be recreation and community involvement. Having these students busy and seeking more positive actions throughout the community can help ease them from any tensions they may be feeling or tempted to do. Of course, the emotional and support path is also just as important. Learning the student’s background on how they were raised, who takes care and provides for them is another point to reducing delinquency. You must first see the background and what they are exposed to or may be going through, to then see what measures can be taken to help them not be in delinquent behavior.
Girls depression rates are higher because they usually reach puberty earlier than boys. Girls are seen to be more sensitive than boys (although I personally feel like this shouldn’t block out boys emotions because boys can be just as sensitive). Girls are more vulnerable and sometimes have lower self esteem issues with themselves. Another possible reason could be because of the roles they may have to play at home. Whether it’s taking care of siblings, learning how to cook. Mostly society roles that they are “supposed” to know and take on as a girl.

There are many measures that can be taken by schools in order to help reduce delinquency among adolescents. To help students stay away from delinquency, schools can implement lessons that teach them what can happen to them if they turn into a delinquent. By implementing these kinds of lessons, may teach the students not to behave badly or follow others that rebel and break the rules. In addition, schools can have a behavior system in which if a student behaves badly, they have to do community service or work on a project that helps the school and the community. This brings a more positive output and will motivate students to do well and succeed.
