Write a 5-7 page paper (1500 words) indicating what you think the United States will look like, politically and even socially, in 50 years, keeping in mind how much the nation has changed over virtually every 50-year portion of its history. What will the governing institutions look like compared to today and at the time of the Founding? What will the Americans of the future think of their rights? Why? Will there even be states, or might the states make a dramatic comeback? Will America still be a superpower? Will there even be superpowers? Draw from any or all of the modules in formulating your answer, but be sure to address the institutional structure of the American government as defined by the Constitution. Because, as should be clear, the Constitution and political evolution are the two driving forces in American political life, and this is likely not to change all that much.
