Allport’s definition for understanding human behaviour

While there is little consensus on definitions of personality across the literature, Allport’s definition (i.e., ‘…a dynamic organisation, inside the person, of psychophysical systems that create the person’s characteristic patterns of behaviour, thoughts, and feelings.’; 1961, p11) is often considered useful.
